Ground-Water Levels in Virginia

Ground-water levels are measured in 354 observation wells in Virginia by the U.S. Geological Survey and the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. Currently, data are available on-line for selected wells; water levels in these wells are measured monthly or continuously via monitoring equipment. On-line data are updated near the end of each month (when data are available).
Click on a site on the map or on a well number in the list to view well characteristics and a hydrograph. Hydrographs show current data plotted in relation to maximum, minimum, and average values for each month over the period of record.
