LOCATION.--Latitude 36°39'06", Longitude 81°50'39", North American Datum of 1927,
                    Washington County, VA, Hydrologic Unit 06010102.
DRAINAGE AREA.--303 square miles2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1931 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1306. Published as "at Vestal" prior to October 1978.
DURATION STATISTIC COMPUTATION PERIOD.--All data through September 2015.
REGULATION.--Some diurnal fluctuation at low flows by small dams above station.
GAGE OPERATION.--U.S. Geological Survey, Virginia Water Science Center.
